Mole National Park is Ghana's largest wildlife refuge, located in the Savannah Region of northern Ghana. The park covers approximately 4,840 km^2 of savannah and riparian ecosystems. It is the main protected area for African bush elephants in Ghana and also hosts buffalo, kob, waterbuck, warthog, baboon and over 300 bird species.
The park headquarters at Larabanga is a popular tourist base, offering walking safaris guided by armed rangers, a unique African safari experience. The nearby Larabanga Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in West Africa.
