Every African — regardless of ability — deserves access to AI. AfricanGPT is built so that blind, low-vision, Deaf, and motor-impaired users can chat, translate, learn, and explore without barriers.

High Contrast Mode

Switch to a high-contrast colour scheme that maximises readability. Works in both light and dark themes.

Large Text Mode

Increase all font sizes and line spacing across the entire site for easier reading.

Voice-First Mode

Prioritise voice input and audio output. Ask questions by speaking and hear answers read aloud.

Reduced Motion

Disable all animations, transitions, and auto-scrolling to reduce visual distraction.

Getting Started

For screen reader users

Press Tab to reach the "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page. All sections use ARIA landmarks — your screen reader can jump between banner, navigation, main, and footer regions.

For voice-first users

Enable Voice-First Mode (Alt+Shift+V) to prioritise microphone input on the Chat and Translate pages. AI responses will be automatically read aloud.

For low-vision users

Combine High Contrast (Alt+Shift+C) and Large Text (Alt+Shift+T) for maximum readability. Your preferences are saved automatically.
