United States International University – Africa (USIU-Africa) is a private, non-profit university in Nairobi, Kenya. Originally a campus of USIU (founded in San Diego in 1952), the Nairobi campus was established in 1969 and became an independent institution in 2005. USIU-Africa is one of the leading private universities in East Africa, known for its American-style liberal arts model with an international student body drawn from over 60 countries. It offers programmes through four schools: Business Administration, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Pharmacy. The campus in Kasarani hosts about 7,000 students. USIU-Africa is accredited by WASC (USA) and Kenya's Commission for University Education.
